Gather Co-Op Is Here: A Better Way to Access Farm, Feed & Homestead Supplies in Big Bend

If you live in the Big Bend region, you already know the struggle.

Farm feed, organic supplies, livestock minerals, quality pet food, homestead essentials, and specialty products are often hours away, expensive to ship, or simply unavailable when you need them.

That is exactly why we created Gather Co-Op.

Gather Co-Op is a community buying co-op serving the Big Bend region, created to help local ranchers, homesteaders, animal owners, gardeners, and rural families access better products at more affordable prices through community ordering.

Instead of everyone driving long distances or paying high shipping costs individually, we gather orders together and bring products into our community through scheduled ordering windows and pickup days.

Simple. Community focused. Built for rural living.

What Is Gather Co-Op?

Gather Co-Op is a member-supported community ordering co-op designed to make high-quality agricultural, homestead, and animal care products more accessible in rural West Texas.

Members gain access to:

• Organic and regenerative livestock feed
• Poultry, goat, sheep, and livestock supplies
• Pet food and animal wellness products
• Hay and farm products (coming in future phases)
• Seasonal and community-based offerings
• Cottage foods and locally produced products (future goal)
• Community resources, events, and educational opportunities

We are starting with carefully selected feed and animal products and plan to grow based on community demand.

Why We Started Gather Co-Op

Living in rural communities comes with incredible benefits, but convenience is not usually one of them.

When you live in places like Terlingua, Study Butte, Alpine, Marathon, or surrounding ranch communities, getting quality products can mean:

• Long drives
• High freight costs
• Limited local options
• Ordering large quantities just to make shipping worthwhile

We believed there had to be a better way.

Gather Co-Op was created to help neighbors work together to bring better products into the region while supporting organic and regenerative agricultural principles whenever possible.

Our goal is simple:

To build a stronger local supply system for the people who live, ranch, garden, raise animals, and homestead here.

How It Works

Joining Gather Co-Op is simple.

Step 1: Become a Member

Membership is free and gives you access to upcoming ordering windows and co-op updates.

Step 2: Shop During Open Ordering Windows

Products will only appear in the store during active ordering periods.

During each ordering window, members can browse available products and place prepaid orders.

Step 3: Pick Up Your Order

Once products arrive, members pick up their orders during scheduled pickup days.

We are currently serving the Big Bend region with pickup coordination centered in Terlingua and surrounding communities.

What Products Will Be Available?

We are beginning with high-quality feed and animal care products including carefully selected options that align with organic and regenerative agricultural principles.

As Gather grows, we hope to expand into:

• Hay and bulk agricultural products
• Organic gardening supplies
• Farm and ranch essentials
• Local eggs, produce, and cottage foods
• Seasonal plant sales and community events
• Seed swaps and educational opportunities

This is just the beginning.

Gather Co-Op is designed to grow with the needs of the community.

Interested in Helping?

Gather Co-Op is community powered.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with pickup days, organization, community outreach, and even future satellite pickup locations in neighboring communities.

Volunteers receive co-op products at landing cost for pickup orders as a thank-you for supporting the community.

If you believe rural communities thrive when neighbors work together, we would love to have you involved.
