Our animals are an important part of life at our farm.

We raise Nigerian Dwarf goats and a growing flock of chickens here in West Texas high desert, with an emphasis on healthy animals, thoughtful breeding, good mothers, sound structure and quality genetics.

As our barnyard grows, we will offer select goat kids, hatching eggs, chicks, and farm fresh eggs locally to support the growth of our local community.

Nigerian Dwarf Goats

Pedigreed dairy goats raised with purpose in West Texas.

Our Nigerian Dwarf goats are an important part of our barnyard. We are building a small, thoughtfully selected herd with an emphasis on dairy production, maternal ability, health and overall soundness.

All of our goats are pedigreed, and our breeding program is built around quality dairy genetics, including animals from milk starred dams and lines know for strong milk production for the breed.

We select our goats not only for their pedigree and dairy potential, but also for good feet and legs along with sound teeth. healthy body structure and temperament. We believe a productive dairy goat should also be a healthy functional animal capable of thriving in the real world.

Our goats are raised on organic feed and high quality hay with their health and well being at the center of our management practices.

Dolly View Pedigree YOB 2023- CHOCOLATE AND WHITE, BLUE EYES (Hidden Moon Spots)

Dolly is onery as all good head does should be. She loves a shoulder scratch and is always the first in line to get milked. She has a slightly unbalanced utter and I have never gotten more than 2 cups per day out of her but she does milk through. I have milked her year long without having to rebreed her. This is a valuable asset to me as I only want to breed goats once a year. I have had zero health issues since I have had her in my care. She has excellent teeth and hooves. She has previously birthed three times and had four does and two bucks out of those births. She has received 3rd and 4th place in multiple shows through the Texas Mini Goat Association through her previous owner. She comes from very good dairy lines and a reputable breeder.

Gem is my little doll. She loves her some mommy time. She loves kisses, scratches, and standing up on me any chance she gets. She often takes breaks on the stand and wants to just crawl in my lap. Her eye lashes are to die for. Because I have not had a successful breeding with her I do not know what she will milk like and am curious to see what she does. She also has had no health problems in the time I have had her. She was previously breed but it didn’t take so we are going to try and breed her again. She also comes from good dairy lines and a good breeder. Her dam has won multiple grand champion reserve titles and multiple 2nd and 3rd place titles in the Texas Mini Goat Association shows through her previous owner. Her sire has also won multiple grand champion and reserve titles through the same owner and organization.

Goat Kids

Our kids will be offered after weaning and individual evaluation. Kids offered as breeding animals will be ADGA registered and will come with their registration papers. The first and second round of CD&T vaccination will be administered prior to pick up.

Each available kid will have an individual profile with pedigree information , parents, relevant production information and pricing. They will be posted as the become available.

Reservations & Pick Up

A $100 deposit is required to reserve an available kid.

Deposit and final payments are accepted through Venmo only. The remaining balance is due at pickup.

Kids must be picked up within 14 days of the deposit, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Deposits are non refundable and non transferable. All animal sales are final. There are no refunds, returns or exchanges.

Because our kids are not offered until they are weaned and ready for placement, buyers will be reserving an individual goat that is already available to leave the farm.

Chickens

Our little free range flock is growing here at the farm. We raise a variety of chickens, with an appreciation for beautiful birds, colorful eggs, duel purpose egg and meat production, and the simple joy of keeping a backyard flock. Every bird is part of daily rhythm of the farm life. We are learning growing and building a flock suited to our West Texas climate. All of our chickens are free range and are feed high quality organic corn free fed and scratch.

We have Ameraucanas, Barred Rocks, Black Copper Marans, Welsummer, and Austrolps. We appreciate what each breeds characteristics bring to our farm and breeding programs.

Eggs by The Dozen

Fresh eggs from our farm to your table available for local pick up $9 per dozen if you exchange cartons and $10 per dozen if you do not exchange cartons. This is a backyard flock mix to include all breeds listed above consisting of small to large brown and blue eggs. All of our chickens are free range and feed high quality organic fed and scratch. Prepaid in advance via Venmo. No returns or exchanges after pick up. While supplies last dependent on egg production and time of year.

Hatching Eggs

All hatching eggs are a preorder as availability depends on egg production and they time of year. We sell by the dozen for local pick up only. All hatching eggs are paid up front $30 per dozen paid by Venmo only. No refunds or exchanges after pick up. We do not guarantee hatch rates but we do verify fertility in our eggs regularly.

Barred Rock

Barred Rock are a good dual purpose breed that lay large light brown eggs. They lay around 240 eggs a year so they are a good layer. They are auto sexed at hatch which makes them ideal for culling for meat. They also grow very quickly which lends them to be a good meat bird as well. Our Barred rocks do very well in the high heat and occasional freezing temperatures of the high desert.

Easter Eggers

Easter eggers are a great colorful egg laying breed. They produce many different colors of egg from blue, green, olive, or pink. They also lay around 240 eggs per year. They are a hybrid mix that carries a blue egg gene and a brown egg gene resulting in the variety of colored eggs produced by the breed. They are well adapted to the weather in the high desert.

Coming Late Fall 2026

Welbar

Welbar is a good dual purpose breed. They lay medium to dark brown eggs with dark brown speckles. Their unusual speckles make them a great addition for a colorful egg basket. They lay around 225 eggs per year. They are a hybrid mix that carries the same auto sexed gene as the Barred Rock so they are easy to cull and grow very quickly making them ideal as meat birds as well. They are excellent foragers so they do very well free ranged. They are also well adapted to the climate of the high desert.

Mystic Maran

The Mystic Maran marries the best traits of a Barred Rock and a Black Copper Maran. They are hardy duel purpose birds that lay 270 medium to dark brown eggs per year. They also carry the auto sexed gene of the Barred Rock making them a ideal chicken for meat production. You will also sometimes here this breed referred to as a Rustic Rambler. They are well adapted for high heat.

Coming Late Spring 2027

Black Copper Maran

BCM are known to lay large dark brown eggs about 175 days a year. They are a very hardy bird that grows a bit slower and lays less eggs. They are know for their “furry” feet as they have feather that grow down their legs and onto their exterior toe. Although they do not lay as much their dark eggs are worth the addition to get you a more colorful egg basket. They also do well in the high heat of the desert. Our new line of these birds should carry and unusually dark egg gene and we are excited to see what they do.

Baby Chicks

As our breeding programs grow, we plan to offer select chick from our own flock. Availability will be seasonal and dependent on successful hatches, and flock development. All breeds listed above in the hatching egg section will be available as chicks. We strongly encourage you to join our waiting list to ensure you get the chicks you want as we only hatch to order. Minimum 3 chick per breed $10 per chick via Venmo only. Local pick up only no returns or exchanges after pick up. We can only guarantee the health of the chicks at pick up but not after they have changed hands.
